Dam tot Damloop on the 18th of September 2011 is the most popular running event in the Netherlands with 40.000 participants! It is an excellent opportunity to celebrate fitness, meet people from all over the world AND help Pro Bono organizations –like us – to raise funds.
According to old Colombian tradition we were selling gorgeous Queends day outfits (all limited edition and very exclusive stuff!), pimped nails and make up in the Jordaan to raise money for the project.
Sinterklaas Salsa Party with salsa dance school El JOJO
On 5th December 2010 together with the Rotterdam salsa school El Yoyo, FNeC organized a Sinterklaas party in one of the night clubs in Rotterdam. The foundation managed to find two of Santa’s helpers – “Zwarte Pieten” – to distribute the pepernoten, sweets and the foundation’s flyers. The evening started with a workshop of salsa
Salsa Workshop
On the 18th November 2010 in café-club Zink in Amsterdam, FNeC organized a workshop entitled “Introduction to the Basics of Latin Dancing” to let complete novices taste the flavour of different Latin dances and practice some basic steps and turns. Sunday the 19th of September Arjen did the one man show: ran dam tot dam for us (the only person we managed to register this year) but how!

Together with Sébastièn of Choy Records we were there to meet new interesting people, get feed back on our idea of promoting a song and getting inspired with new ideas.
The crowd was very international, full of driven creative people with ideals.
What we managed:
- got a video on Mambapoint TV
- hosted a brainstorm session on viral marketing
- showed our animation for the project
Sunday, July 18th we handed out the awards of our special World Cup Pool. It took place in Amsterdam Westerpark accommodated by a picnic, sun, music and salsa dancing!

In the early afternoon there were not too many people but when the music started and the visitors started to dance it became busier and busier. Many people showed their interest in our foundation and supported us with their donations.
On Queensday Tatiana, Emma, Arjen and Angelique started selling the second hand items donated to the foundation. We found a good spot on the Westerstraat and put up our banner “Niños en Contacto”. The weather was a bit disappointing, it was cold and it was raining a little bit. We had to put on some extra sweaters to stay warm. Of course we told the Orange dressed visitors that with their buy they would suppor
